Position: Sales Associate
Position Available: 1-2 Positions (Female Only)
Hourly wage: $15 / Hour
Estimated hours per week: 32 – 40 hours per week
Job Description :
The Retail Sales Associate at Sugar Planet is responsible for delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced candy and souvenir retail environment. This role involves assisting customers with product selection, maintaining store presentation, and supporting daily store operations. Sugar Planet locations offer a wide variety of candy, including bulk candy, taffy, novelty sweets, and souvenirs, requiring team members to be attentive, energetic, and customer-focused.
Essential Functions & Duties:
– Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner COMPENSATION
– Help customers select candy, snacks, and merchandise, including weighing and packaging bulk items
– Operate cash register and handle cash, credit card, and other transactions accurately
– Managers will select and train cashiers based on experience.
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including displays, shelves, and work areas
– Restock merchandise, refill candy bins, and monitor inventory levels
– Ensure proper labeling and pricing of products
– Follow food safety and hygiene standards when handling unpackaged candy
– Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned
– Promote a positive shopping experience and resolve customer questions or concerns
– Work collaboratively with team members and management to meet sales and service goals.

Work Environment:
– Fast-paced retail setting, often busy during peak tourist seasons
– Requires standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of merchandise
– Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
